Stars
You see darkness, I see stars,
pinpoints in the blackness
blanketing our lives.
With other eyes,
you would see love,
a smooth shell on the sand,
announcing how love lasts,
formed by ocean’s press:
movement and minerals.
Let us bear witness
as stars prick night’s blackness,
penetrate your heart with
diamond points of love.
