Perseids

Perseids

so i dedicated 

my life

to the study 

of the perseids

each night

my face

amid stars

reflecting

back at me

in black pools

of cool water

i rubbed my 

squinting eyes

to find that

in the multitude

in the division

we become 

not many

at all 

but one
