Transference
Your poetry offers a presence,
encoded as talking knots
between words,
read medially.
I interpret the timbre,
complexity, color,
and whorls in space
like an ancient quipu.
I recognize the tone of voice
implied in the arrangement,
the pattern of vowels,
and collection of consonants.
The poet is embedded in lines
that travel across space
and present to me
off the page.
