I Am

I am a survivor.

I am only a child.

I am someone who has been hurt.

I am only a child.

I am someone that the bad man comes for.

I am only a child. 

I am someone who gets hurt a lot.

I am only a child. 

I am growing up, stunted and demoted.

I am only a child. 

I am trying my best to succeed, no matter what. 

I am only a child. 

I am surviving so one day I can be free.

I am only a child. 

I am, on one sunny day, free. 

I am no longer a child. 

I am a survivor. 

I will never be a victim again. 

I am going to outlast those who hurt me.

I am only a child, but this I vow now.
