The Meaning of Life

The Meaning of Life

Some bring tears, while others bring cheer,
The world spins round, year after year.
Don’t think you have many friends near,
For even the proud may face their own fear.

You seek the bright pearl from the sea,
But searching long, it won’t come to be.
You can open doors, yet you will see,
You cannot shut out darkness that’s free.

In life’s storms that it shows you must face,
You tire and struggle, seeking your place.
Even if you build a grand palace of grace,
When you close your eyes, you’ll return to the space.

Never stray down the path of despair,
For the wrongs you’ve done, you cannot repair.
Though strong as you are, with power to dare,
You cannot halt fate’s relentless snare.

Last night was filled with joy and delight,
But today brings sorrow that dims the light.
If fate burns brightly, without respite,
It’ll scatter gold upon your path so bright.

Your life’s but a mirage in this vast land,
A river that flows without a command.
Understand the philosophy of life at hand,
For this old world is fleeting and unplanned.
