To a Sunflower

To a Sunflower

There's a place beneath the smiley Sun,
where it beams its golden radiance in the heat of noon.
It glows and stares very fixedly at the pretty and amber colored flowery beauty that stands
erect in summer.
The sun decorates her lavishly with its own ornaments of nature that enhance her summer appeal.
Energetically, she turns to follow the steady movement of the golden sun across the blue sky,
until it bids a goodbye to its gazing lover with its crimson smile at the close of the day.
She becomes pale with the daily exit of her lover that she stares so lovingly at by day.
She falls instantly, looking morose, when the sun ends each summer day with a
loving goodnight expression on its face.
Then at sunrise, she awakes very delightfully and excitedly at the behest of her lover's caressing rays,
to keep up with another daily romantic summer commitment.
