A Blank Palette

A Blank Palette

I embody every color of the rainbow
Yet I am absent of hue
I look across at my neighbors
who are sometimes shades of blue
I listen to people talking
and sometimes they speak the truth
For many a man has been judged
by the subtle shade of his hue
I often ponder and wonder
about eyes that are colored in blue
They often seem more attractive
than my own deep dark pools
Many a man might say to you
that they prefer the paler hues
but from my experience
Color is within you
what you exude and emit
So if your words and actions are true
why should your color determine
How I feel about you
It’s easy for us to judge others
Making them feel dark blue
but we are all tiny rainbows
With both light and dark hues
Take action today, not tomorrow
And to yourself be always true
We all need to stop judging one another
by the shades and tones of our hues
