Summertime Logic

Summertime Logic

You’re living like old age only happens
to those who allow it to happen.
Good health, like money, comes and
must continue to come indefinitely
because you deserve it. Ipso facto,
impulse equates to inspiration.
So, a piece of land, two pampered
donkeys, chickens, a growing debt.
One of those numerous cheap houses
in a mountain village with sea view
on an idyllic but broke Mediterranean
island, an elderly Rolls Royce that
only needs your love. Universe is super;
you are super and superannuation is for
the timid who never do see Naples and
then die anyway. Life: a game of chess
without rules, other than what the bold
dream up. Plod on, mere mortals.
Alexander The Great was not Great
because he stayed home, planted
a garden and put potatoes in storage
in the event of famine or winter.
He had the guts to rise up, reinvent
and become a most infamous
mass murderer.
