The Skies

The Skies

When flash rains recede
the rainbow doesn’t look for a lion’s share
it occupies a small arc space of the horizon
and vanishes once all children
jubilate and continue their games
in the streets

Pigeons often
scare the crows away
and swallow all the food people offer
but both coexist
with the cats who find preys in all birds

The same nests
welcome the migrated birds
back every Spring
sky presents colorful pictures
of all these
through various seasons

Drones drive out
all the serenity and
the birds’ real-life art
and all the hopes on human values
